UK Amateur Radio Discord Club

Our overall aim is to create a free online community to help amateurs to help other amateurs: to help create friendships, both online and on the air, to introduce people to the hobby, to give those who are less experienced a place to ask questions, and those who are training for their licences access to those with an understanding of the topics they are struggling with. We have seen similar projects in other countries take off very quickly and would like to create a similar community here in the UK. While those from other countries are more than welcome to join us, chat with us and take part in the activities of the server, the main objective of the server is aimed at UK Amateurs, Shortwave Listeners and those studying to take the UK Amateur Radio exams. No question is silly here, and we take a dim view of elitism. We hope this will be the friendliest amateur radio community anywhere online.
So why not come and join us?

A bit more about us:

Within our community, we offer members the following opportunities:

  • Active real-time online community
  • Live radio feeds to listen to
  • Training & Support
  • Chat & make friends

What is Discord?

Discord is an internet chat app based on servers for those with similar interests.
Initially aimed at gamers, there are now hundreds of thousands of groups, you name it, and there's probably a group for it on Discord.
Its totally free to join and there is no limit to the number of groups you can participate in.

A real radio club, but online

We have a club constitution, which is available for all members to read, we have an active committee and as of September 2018, we have been allocated the callsign MX0UAR, for use in all club related activities.

So who are we looking for?

If you've read this far, the answer to that question is:  YOU!!
Whether you're studying for your foundation licence, or whether you've held your full licence for 50 years. Whether you're into HF, VHF, UHF, CW, Data Modes, Satellites or just having a good old Ragchew.  Amateurs from abroad, you're welcome too, it'd be great to start seeing people all over the world.
